All is peaceful in the Clan territories, and though always respecting the Code, there is no war between the four different Clans.
Then disaster strikes suddenly.
A massive earthquake splits the land apart. Trees fall, rocks tumble downhill, dens collapse. Then silence returns. And it's an eerie silence, not broken by anything except the chirping of the birds.
It's full moon.
Slowly, cats who've somehow escaped from the destructive fury of the earthquake make their way to the Gathering, padding across a fallen tree to reach the island. They're all shocked by how their numbers have been diminished.
As Starclan once changed the four Clan's names, after disaster struck, so happens again: Thunderclan to Fireclan, Riverclan to Oceanclan, Windclan to Stormclan, and Shadowclan to Nightclan.
The cats must survive. Reluctantly, they all make a pact. They will help each other and share the same camp, till each Clan is strong enough to separate and go it's own way again.
In the meantime, old friends reappear everyday, and a patrol is out searching tirelessly for injured Clan cats.
But the natural disaster hasn't struck the four Clans only. Unknown to the Clan cats, an old enemy has returned, driven from it's home. Bloodclan needs new territory, and new members. The fight will soon break out again. But will the Clans be able to overcome their differences, and fight together, or will they decided to fight each for itself?
UPDATE:
A moon has passed since the first Gathering, and the Clans have lived together, befriending each other.
New cats still show up, though the rate is slow; the Leaders, though, think that now that it is clear the earthquake won't strike again, there might be a sudden flow of old friends returning from the twoleg nests at the edge of the forest.
But in the meantime, a new cat, accepted into Fireclan, is living proof Bloodclan isn't defeated and dead as everyone thought.
This uncertain information, though, falls into second place before the new Gathering, which will be the occasion to discuss the strength of each individual Clan.
Will they be strong enough to go each on their own path? Or maybe, they won't re not yet....but does this mean that the risk of the Clanners melding too much with each other and forming one big Clan, is increasing?
It's up to the cats now to show how much they want to stay together....or how loyal they are to their own INDIVIDUAL Clan.
